WHAT IS GRANITE?
Granite is an igneous rock that contains at least 20% quartz by volume and also contains mica and feldspar. It’s mined from around the world, including quarries in India, Brazil, Norway, Italy and China. Mined granite is then cut into slabs and usually polished. It is extremely hard and stain-resistant. As a natural material, it has irregular patterns and can show substantial variation between slabs.
